The Wichita Falls ISD is weighing a series of options for reopening the schools in the fall and they are asking families for their input on the situation. Superintendent Michael Kuhrt said they are still in the planning stages for what returning to school might look like amid the COVID-19 situation.
Guidance has been ever-changing from the state and Texas Education Agency about how to safely reopen schools.
The district is asking parents with students in the district to fill out a short survey about what they would like to see in place for a safe return to schools. If you have more than one child in school, please fill out a survey for each one. The survey can be found at wfisd.net/returnfeedback. (Thanks to TRN for the report)
UIL is also recommending guidelines for it’s programs.
WFISD really needs you to do the survey so everyone feels like they are included in this process.
We will update this as we get more decisions from WFISD and the TEA as well as the state.
