Day Camp Junior Counselors

Day Camp Junior Counselors must be 14 or have completed the 8th grade. As a junior counselor you will assist the counselor with all activities for the children. You will have a separate free swim (splash) time that is just for junior counselors.

A mandatory junior counselor meeting on May 26th will be at the Camp Fire office from 6pm to 8pm. A second meeting will be on June 2nd when the junior counselors are paired with their counselors.

Junior Counselor Registration goes live on April 1st!

Stay-Late Program

Stay Late Program
The Stay-Late Program allows your child to stay at the pool until 6pm each of the 5 days of camp. The rate is $10 per week - online payment incurs a processing fee. You can select one, two, or all three weeks.

My child (or ward) has my permission to attend Day Camp at Harrell Park and participate in all Camp Fire activities at Harrell Park, including swimming, skating, canoeing, and field trips outside of Harrell Park with proper staff supervision. I understand that any information relating to my child's medical or limited physical activity will be communicated to office personnel (not van drivers) by calling 940-322-5209. Children will be released from the vans only when the driver acknowledges the parent's arrival. Children who are not picked up in a timely manner upon their return to school, and after every effort has been made to contact an adult (using contact numbers provided to Camp Fire) will be taken to the Children's Aid Society located at 1101 30th Street. Their telephone number is 322-3141. If your child needs to be taken home by the Camp Fire van, the van will take the children to the school first, and then children will be taken home. Please allow extra time for this.

Should your child have discipline problems at camp, they will be asked to go home and not return until next year.

Disrespect and/or violent behavior toward anyone at any Camp Fire event, activity or function may result in the permanent expulsion of my child (or ward) from all Camp Fire activities in the future. This includes behavior on the vans.
